Nature park Puez Geisler – UNESCO world heritage

Extensive, long hiking tours; splendid views and lots of sun:
Things you can expect in the nature park Puez-Geisler

The nature park Puez Geisler is situated in the northwest of the Dolomites which are UNESCO world heritage and compasses an area of 10.722 hectares. It is well known for its biodiversity, its beauty and its natural resources. The protected zone includes 7 municipalities: Abtei, Corvara, Villnöss, St. Martin in Thurn, St. Ulrich, St. Christina and Wolkenstein.

The Nature-park-house in S. Magdalena - opened in 2009 – imparts knowledge and information about the living spaces, to the park region, to the animals and plants of the nature park.

Additionally, in the summer months natural-history trips and hikes with trained leaders are organized. You are going to learn and see the beauty and the sensibility of a nature park which you’ll keep in mind.

Hint: The ‘Naturerlebnisweg Zans’ – by the way the first nationwide wheelchair-accessed path – makes your stay in Funes unforgettable with its uniqueness!
